- ARTISTIC STOPOVER
Many artists from Quebec, in collaboration with the Quebec’s arts Council, will be on location to share their nautically inspired work. Feel free to ask questions about their paintings and the history behind the work!
- The Saint-Laurence River
The Montreal Maritime Museum, in collaboration with L’Escale Nautique, is proud to present the photographs from the winners of the “Le Fleuve St-Laurent” contest, which covers the following five themes: the water’s secrets, the ships of the Saint-Laurence, boating and bliss on water, scenes from the Saint-Laurence River, and Quebec and its river.
- “PRESENCE” EXHIBIT
This exhibit invites you to travel through time and coast-to-coast to discover our fascinating marine odyssey. From World War I to the Gulf War, learn about the Canadian Marine’s involvement; it’s place in Canada and on the international stage. Bear witness to those who worked in the forefront of these major historical moments, thanks to their testimonies, illustrations and the objects on display.
- CONTRE VENTS ET MARÉES (AGAINST ALL ODDS)
Mr. Pearson’s photographs from his book Contre vents et marées, will be displayed on location where the author himself will discuss his photos, as well as the history of navigation on the Saint-Laurence River.
- The quays from yesterday to today
The exhibit “Le Port à hauteur d’homme” (The Old Port on a human scale) invites you to a surprising tour where the port is portrayed in its entire human dimension. Drop by!
